Class Descriptions
Most classes are not linear. You are welcome to join in at any point in the year.
Language Arts
Our language arts classes are geared towards elementary aged kids. We tailor lessons depending on age level. Early elementary school kids work on phonics, reading, writing, and basics of language arts. Older elementary school kids work on creative writing, critical thinking, spelling, vocabulary, and fundamentals of language arts.
History
We currently use The Good and The Beautiful, which is a Christian based history course. This enriching class is great for all elementary school ages.
Theology
Theology is an introductory course for elementary school kids looking to enhance their understanding of religion. We focus on Christian values and bible study.
Music
Our current Friday morning music class is a Mommy and Me class geared towards preschool and early elementary school kids. Contact us for group or private lessons in vocal training, piano, and guitar.
STEAM
STEAM classes rotate between the subjects of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. We do science experiments, introductions to varying science subjects, art projects, math tutoring, and more.
Geography
Each week we discuss a different country or state. We touch on culture, animal habitats, languages, flags, population, and interesting facts of varying countries and states.
Life Skills
Our life skills class rotates through varying lessons. We have done baking projects, cooking skills, basic money and finance, introduction to sewing, and more.
